How To Stop Manifesting Your Fears (6 Tips)

One of the questions I get a lot is “how can I stop manifesting my fears?” The answer is somewhat complex.

First, you don’t necessarily manifest your fears as-is.

Let’s say you’re deathly afraid of airplanes but you have to take a trip and the most reasonable way to travel is via airplane.

Even if you constantly freak out over the possibility of a plane crash, you aren’t going to manifest a plane crash just because you’re flipping out about it.

What’s more likely is your panicked state will cause you to manifest other little annoyances throughout the duration of your trip.

So, in order to stop manifesting your fears, you have to work on managing them and learning how to stay cool, calm, and collected in the face of anxiety-producing situations.

Here are a few tips to avoid manifesting your fears.

1- Control your breath

The first thing you can do to calm yourself down and therefore raise your vibration is to control your breath.

Breath is so important because most of us go around in our lives super tense taking these shallow breaths that keep us in a state of tension and stress.

Taking a few moments to follow, focus on, and control your breath is one of the fastest ways to raise your vibration, and therefore make it easier not to manifest the things you are afraid of.

You can do a quick breathing exercise where you count ten long, deep breaths.

Breathe in, hold for 6 seconds, breathe out, and hold for 6 seconds.

Do this sequence ten times and you will automatically feel lighter, more relaxed, and more in control.

2- Find proof of the opposite

The next thing you can do if you’re afraid you’re going to manifest your fears is to find abundant proof of the opposite.

In our airplane example it’s easy – you can find thousands of flights that arrived at their destination successfully. Therefore, your subconscious mind will know that more likely than not, you’ll be okay.

The same holds true for other possible manifestations (that can have less devastating consequences!)

Let’s say you’re applying for jobs and you fear that you won’t ever get hired.

Reflect on times in the past when you did get the job!

If you’ve done it before, you can do it again, can you not?

Another way to do this is to seek examples of success from other people.

If you’re afraid you’ll never get married and settle down with your soulmate, find success stories from others who maybe had a long dating history but eventually wound up with the love of their lives.

The truth is that we are all the same.

Ask yourself all the time “why not me?”

Why not you?

Changing your mindset to seek evidence of the opposite, whether from your life or from that of others is a great way to start to turn things around.

3- Visualize your ideal outcome

If you start to obsess over your fears and are concerned you might be attracting the wrong things into your life, visualization is going to be your best friend.

Visualization is so powerful because when you take the time to really “drop in” to an experience, your subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not.

Therefore, if you visualize your ideal outcome (and you will want to spend some time doing this exercise,) you will train your mind away from the negative fears and toward your ideal.

And that will raise your vibration and help you attract more of what you want.

A great visualization exercise for this is to think of the best possible outcome in your life.

And then, imagine yourself living that experience with all five senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch.

When you do this exercise often, your subconscious mind will start to recognize it as a reality and start to take action toward making it happen.

(And you won’t have to worry about manifesting your fears!)

4- Focus on what’s within your control

Another thing you can do is focus on everything that’s within your control.

In fact, this is one of the main keys to manifesting and taking back your power in every situation.

Some things you just won’t be able to control.

If you’re focused on manifesting a certain outcome from a specific person, for example, you truly do not have control over that person and what they do.

So, the fear that they may leave you or never come back is real.

However, you do have control over yourself!

You have control over how you act, what you say, where you go, the vibration and positive energy you emit, and your self-confidence and self-worth, and when you focus on those things, you take back the power and make yourself more attractive to that person.

And THAT is what will bring them to you.

When you take control of what you can, you empower yourself to such a high degree that fear has no place in your world.

It’s not even a consideration because you know, feel and believe that you are exactly where you need to be and you have everything you need to get what you want.

It is when you get to this place that the Universe starts dumping blessings and manifestations on you from out of the blue.

You become a magnet for it and there’s no choice for other things and people who vibrate at that same level to “see” you and respond exactly how you want!

You have to go first – take life by the reins and guide what you can.

Fear will be no match for you.

5- Allow your feelings

Another thing you can do which may seem counter-intuitive at first, is to allow and feel the fear.

Don’t try to hide it, run from it, or even change it. But actually sit with it, welcome it and honor it.

Now, this sounds crazy because you think if you want to avoid manifesting your fears, why would you call them in?

The answer is because once you welcome it and honor it as part of your experience here on this Earth, it loses its power

Yep – it’s true.

Fear only has power over you when you’re running and hiding.

The thing here is to reframe it as something you are experiencing and not something that you are

That will help take it outside of you and it becomes just another thing that is happening – and can pass!

For example, if you want to become a published author but you’re afraid of failure and rejection, rather than going deep into the fear and playing out all the ways things can go wrong, focus on the fear itself as a part of the experience.

You can think about how you’re currently experiencing fear at the moment, but at other times you experience excitement, creativity, and hope.

That’s true, right?

Then you can pause, reconnect with your breath, and consider where you feel that fear in your body.

Some people feel a tightness in their chest, or get a pit in their stomach.

What does this fear feel like for you?

The more you can pull up the sensations and feelings and recognize that it’s part of your story instead of who you are, the less power they has over you.

You don’t have to get rid of it — simply observe it, recognize that it’s part of your story, and take note of how you’re learning from it.

This is a powerful way to gain distance from fear so you can manifest what you want.

6- Use crystals

Last but not least – I am a huge fan of crystals for things like removing fear from manifestation for two main reasons.

First, crystals are so healing and if you use the right ones, you can absorb the negativity that you feel and also block negative energy from entering your sphere.

Second, it’s always helpful to place your invisible intention into a physical representation.

The best crystals for removing fear and negativity are the black ones – obsidian, tourmaline and onyx are all excellent choices for this.

Hold one in your hand and take a few deep breaths to infuse it with your intention and then carry it around with you or keep it near where you work or sleep.

Keep that crystal close, and watch as fear slowly fades away!
